Our story

h2h content was born out of a deep concern for our planet and its people.

A concern that emerged when the hole in the ozone layer, acid rain and overflowing landfills were still making headlines.

A concern that has nagged at founder Vanessa Chris, incessantly, ever since.

This ever-present little voice first drove her into journalism—where she launched her career as a columnist for the Toronto Star before moving into the b2b space.

She LOVED b2b because it allowed her to reach a powerful audience—businesses—and shine a spotlight on things like environmentally-friendlier “lean” manufacturing practices and green mortgage products.

Her feature “What Makes Toyota Tick” won a gold KRW award (the highest honour in the Canadian b2b space).

Eventually, she found her way into b2b copywriting —writing for a host of organizations including Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, IBM, CSA Group and Nespresso.

Over the years, she’s written about a vast range of cutting-edge topics like AI, additive manufacturing, cybersecurity, ESG and sustainability—and her (ghostwritten) work even appeared in Forbes magazine!

Fast forward to today. Since 2022, Vanessa has been honouring that little voice within her through h2h content—a company fiercely committed to supporting the organizations that are making the world a better place.

Through her storytelling and creative partnerships, Vanessa draws attention to the organizations that are taking a step in the right direction. Who are rethinking their approach to revenue generation. Who are raising the bar in their respective industries and showing the world that socially-conscious businesses can also be highly profitable businesses.

She also shares her learnings and advances the impact communications movement through speaking engagements, thought leadership articles, volunteer efforts, conferences and her LinkedIn platform.
